Light work performance and installation at Strathnairn Gallery, Canberra in 1999
Over a two-week period I hand cut tiles from blocks of Sunlight soap and tiled the walls of the gallery - gluing the soap tiles with a hot glue gun.
The yellow room provided visitors with an intense experience of sensory overload - the smell of the soap was overwhelming for some. People entered the gallery repeatedly attracted to the glowing yellow light only to be driven back by the strong soap smell.
